Riddle's Court fundraising success: just £60,000 to go.
"Topping Out" appeal
Topping out is a builders' rite traditionally held when the last beam (or its equivalent) is placed atop a structure during its construction.
In our case we want to top-out our fundraising appeal before we finish the building and in doing so encourage our donors to contribute to a special time capsule that will be placed in the restored Riddle’s Court.
Help us secure the last part of our funding for the restoration of Riddle’s Court, the category A listed 16thcentury merchant house in Edinburgh’s Old Town. We just need the last £60,000 to complete our £5.8million appeal. So everyone who donates £50 or over will have their own message included in ourTime Capsule to be installed at the Topping Out ceremony of the project. Should we be lucky enough to raise more, then funds can be used for interpretation, fitting out and further conservation work on the archaeological finds made at Riddle’s Court.
