Riddle's Court, Old Town, Edinburgh

Riddle's Court is an A-listed former merchant's house near to Edinburgh Castle at the top of the Royal Mile.

The building has considerable cultural significance with rooms containing architectural features from its 400 years of history and historic connections with King James VI and Patrick Geddes amongst many others.

The building offers venue and meeting space to hire within attractive historic rooms suitable for a wide range of functions and events from meetings and seminars to private parties and performances.

The rooms include a Board Room with 18th Century paneling; the Geddes Room with a vibrant 19th Century painted ceiling commissioned by Patrick Geddes interconnected with a smaller breakout room with a fine 17th Century plaster ceiling; and, a larger flexible space on the ground floor with a capacity for around 70 people.

Riddle's Court will also be available to hire as a wedding venue, a unique and secluded building in the heart of the Old Town it is the perfect location for your special day.

Riddle's Court is at the top of the Lawnmarket in the heart of Edinburgh's Old Town, easily accessible by public transport and a 10minute walk from Edinburgh Waverley Station.

Please note Riddle's court currently under restoration until summer 2017 when it will open as the Patrick Geddes Centre For Learning and as a venue as Riddle's Court
