Doors Open Days is Scotland’s largest free festival that celebrates heritage and the built environment.  It offers free access to over a thousand venues across the country throughout September, every year.

The aim of Doors Open Days is to ensure that Scotland’s built heritage, new and old, is made accessible to people living and visiting the country on weekends in September.

Scottish Historic Buildings Trust is delighted to continue its long-standing participation in this festival and in 2019 our following five buildings will be open to the public:

September 8th, 11am-3pm: Law’s Close, Kirkcaldy, Fife

339-343 High Street, Kirkcaldy, Fife KY1 1JL

September 14th, 11am-3pm: Blackburn House, West Lothian

Redhouse Road, Seafield, Bathgate, West Lothian EH49 7AQ

September 14th, 10am-4pm: Strathleven House, Dumbarton

Vale of Leven Industrial Estate, Dumbarton, Dunbartonshire, G82 3PD

September 28th, 10am-4pm: Custom House, Leith*

65-67 Commercial Street, Edinburgh, EH6 6LH

*Custom House will also be hosting open studios, Trina Bohan’s Scottish Skyscapes painting exhibition, storytelling and shanties from Jan Bee Brown and the Dutch Shanty Choir: De ‘Heeren van de Heijs’, and other activities.
